 Prayer Resources

The following menu provides a list of possible prayer experiences which can be done by an individual, a family, or a small group. It’s up to you!  They also include an estimation of how long it will take for each experience. If you did all of them at one sitting, it could take up to 3 hours.

We encourage you to take a look at the list.  If you click on each title, you will see a drop-down that will describe the experience and tell you what you will need. Take some time to study them and choose those that move you to respond.

Here are several options:

  • If you are fairly new in your faith or haven’t had a lot of experience with prayer, why not choose one and try it? Then maybe on another day pick another and try that. Even with a 5-10 minute prayer experience (which will feel like there wasn’t enough time) you will be able to experience God.

  • If you so choose, carve out an hour and choose the experiences that the Holy Spirit leads you to choose. Find a place and a time where you can be undisturbed.

  • Or, if you so choose, set aside 15 minutes a day and choose a different prayer experience each day.

It’s really up to you.

We would encourage you to find a place at home where you can be undisturbed and where you feel comfortable talking to God.

Please take a look at the additional opportunities and choose those with which you would like to participate.

We know that God will use these activities to help you experience him.  And - you will be speaking to him, but he will also be speaking to you!

What’s Your plan?

Take some time to develop a plan for prayer for the next month. Answer these questions:

  • When will I pray?

  • Where will I pray?

  • How will I decide what to pray for?

  • To whom will I be accountable?

Then work the plan . . .  and watch God bless you!
