Have you ever noticed how important it is to have clarity?
Clutter can confuse but clarity brings focus. It is very important that we focus on what is most important and not get bogged down in clutter. At Cornerstone, we try to get rid of the clutter of “religious busyness" and focus on the few, most important things. We call them “The 5 Purposes,” and we invite you to make them the focus of your life with the Cornerstone community.
We're a community of faith where people belong to each other and God, grow to be like Jesus, serve to make a difference in the name of Jesus, and go take the gospel to the world bringing glory to God.
The first purpose of life is knowing, loving, and worshipping God. This is often called Worship.
At Cornerstone, we call this glorifying.
The second purpose of life is to love others. This is often called Fellowship.
At Cornerstone, we call this belonging.
The third purpose of life is growing to maturity. This is often called Discipleship.
At Cornerstone, we call this growing.
The fourth purpose of life is to serve God by serving others. The Bible calls this Ministry.
At Cornerstone, we call this serving.
The fifth purpose of life is to tell others about Him. This is often called Evangelism.
At Cornerstone, we call this going.
